STARS ACADEMY RECREATIONAL PROGRAM - Monthly Sessions

🧸 Tiny Scholars

 Ages 4–6
 

  • 1 class/week (30 minutes)
     
  • Great for early exposure to cheer, tumbling, and teamwork
     
  • 2-class free trial available (must be consecutive weeks, no makeups)
     

🌀Stretch & Flex

 Ages 7–14

This flexibility and mobility-focused class is designed to help athletes improve their splits, backbends, body lines, and overall control. Stretch & Flex builds the foundational flexibility needed for jumps, tumbling, stunting, and dance.

Athletes will work on:

  • Front & middle splits
     
  • Bridge work & back flexibility
     
  • Active & passive stretching
     
  • Body line shaping for cheer & dance

Tumbling 1 🤸🏽

Ages 6–9 & 10+

This fundamentals-based tumbling class focuses on proper technique, strength, and shaping to build confidence and control in entry-level skills. Beginner Tumbling is perfect for athletes who are new to tumbling or need to solidify their basics before advancing.

Athletes will work on:

  • Forward & backward rolls
     
  • Handstands & bridges
     
  • Cartwheels & round-offs
     
  • Intro to backbend kickovers & front limbers
     
  • Tumbling drills & shaping

Tumbling 2 🔁

Ages 6–9  &  10+

This progression-based class is designed for athletes who have mastered beginner tumbling skills and are ready to move into walkovers, connected passes, and handspring prep. Intermediate Tumbling focuses on building strength, control, and confidence in more complex movement patterns.


Athletes will work on:

  • Front & back walkovers
     
  • Connected walkover combos
     
  • Valdez & limber variations
     
  • Round-off drills & power hurdle technique
     
  • Back handspring drills & spotted handsprings

Tumbling 3-4🔁

Ages 8-14

This high-level tumbling class is for athletes with strong foundational skills who are ready to work on powerful, dynamic passes. Advanced Tumbling focuses on refining technique and safely progressing toward flight skills and elite connections.

Athletes will work on:

  • Standing & running back handsprings
     
  • Round-off back handspring series
     
  • Back tucks & layouts (with progression drills)
     
  • Front punch & aerials
     
  • Combo passes & advanced shaping
